Wildwood’s ClarissaARI#: 31341752DOB: 5/13/2009Color: BeigeStatus: MaidenLeft side Density and bold crimp! Another white/beige cria from Carinthia sired by a True Black! Clarissa joins Betty White and Clarence in the surprise color results from their mom. This sweet girl is so soft, very curious and active - she is all over the place! Her dam, MFI Carinthia is a halter champion known for her extremely dense fleece. Her sire, Knight of Camelot who took a second place as a yearling in a huge 2003 MAPACA halter class, a true black is known for softness and handle. These two together, sum up Claire’s attributes perfectly. She has her mother’s density and her sire’s softness. Look for her in the spring shows.
Wildwood’s FrancescaARI#: 31341745DOB: 5/20/2009Color: Medium BrownStatus: MaidenFran Head What a lovely surprise! We had planned to leave Fran’s dam Galadriel open. After quite awhile, it became obvious that she was pregnant. Apparently she didn’t agree with our plans for her, took advantage of a visiting herdsire, and produced her first female cria after three males. As soon as we saw Fran’s coloring and soft fleece, we started scratching our heads to figure out who the sire could be. As soon as we checked the dates, we just knew it had to be Knight of Camelot, who always throws soft crias, and DNA tests proved it. The shearer said Fran was the softest alpaca she had ever shorn. She has a delicate face and very feminine appearance. We can’t wait to get her in the show ring and to get those fiber results after her spring shearing. She’s something truly special!
Wildwood’s DemitasseARI#: 31733076DOB: 9/26/2009Color: Dark BrownStatus: Maiden1 week old Luster Galore, this girl is gorgeous! It was a long wait to see what our gorgeous true black female Eclipse would produce with a full Peruvian maroon herdsire. We weren’t disappointed! This little girl is petite, straight legged and inquisitive. Her fleece is a gorgeous shiny reddish brown, soft, crimpy and curly. Her sire, CPI Peruvian JaMaka passes on attributes of exceptional conformation and fine fiber persisting into adult years (at 9 years of age, still exceptionally soft and fine).
Wildwood’s Amerikhan ThunderARI#: 31733083DOB: 9/12/2009Color: Dark Silver GrayStatus: UnprovenThunder cushed Promising Jr Herdsire! There aren’t enough superlatives to describe this very promising junior herdsire! His dam Sabrina, a Leo daughter, always throws crias with color, conformation and friendly temperaments, no matter who we breed her to so we went for fabulous fleece. This year’s sire was the multi-champion Aga Khan son, Amerikhan Legend. We got the best of all worlds: dark color, great conformation and superior crimpy fleece. It was hard to tell what color Thunder really was at first, but we’re pretty sure its dark silver grey and we’re really excited about it. He’s dense, and oh, so crimpy and a sweetie pie to boot!  Thunder is adopted by Kelly in Pennsylvania.
Wildwood’s DustinARI#: 31733090DOB: 10/17/2009Color: Dark BrownStatus: UnprovenDustin running Full Peruvian Macho! Full Peruvian offspring of Snowmass Black Diamond and LZD Jewel, this little guy is chock full of energy and loves to play. His sire, Black Diamond is known for his fineness, typey head, square conformation and gentle temperament. His color is a lovely dusky brown, darker at the skin than on the surface. His dam, Jewel is an award winner herself with fabulous Peruvian genetics. Dustin’s cria fleece is very soft, fairly dense with lots of crimp. We look forward to him entering the show ring next year.  Dustin has been adopted by Riley.
Wildwood’s KaitlinARI#: 31733106DOB: 11/1/2009Color: Dark BrownStatus: MaidenKaitlin Rt Beautiful reddish brown girl! Kaitlin is the half sister to Demi who was born a month before her. She is out of sire CPI Peruvian JaMaka and dam Maple Brook Atlaanta. A large strong girl, she has wonderful crimpy fleece with density and softness. Both parents offer that soft, fine handle and she should surely have it in spades. Another dark, reddish brown cria, with similar color from both parents, we look forward to her entering the show ring next year.
